Elba Acevedo
Manager, Fiduciary Activities Section
Elba Acevedo joined the Division of Banking in December 2002. As part of the Division of Banking, she was the Director of Mortgage Banking Regulation from September 2005 through September 2006 and the Manager of Examination from December 2002 through January 2006. Elba's primary responsibilities include directing all aspects of the Fiduciary Activities Section including: reviewing and supervising the various examinations, administrating the application process, training personnel and communicating with regulated entities, federal agency counterparts, and intra-agency counterparts.
Elba received a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the University of Illinois – Chicago, an MBA with a concentration in Management Information System from DePaul University and a graduate degree in Liberal Arts from the University of Chicago. Her previous work history includes high-level Financial Administrator positions in the Educational and Healthcare Industry throughout Chicago. She was an adjunct professor teaching non-profit and financial accounting.
Elba holds the designation of a Certified Public Accountant. Additionally, she is a member of the Joseph Jefferson Awards committee, promoting excellence in theater within Chicago. |
