MARC A. EDWARDS
Manager, Bank and Thrift Supervision - Springfield
Marc has been with the agency since 1987 and had served as a Commercial Field Examiner until his promotion to the Bureau of Banks and Trust Companies ("Bureau") Policies and Procedures Administrator in October of 1997. In April 2001 Marc was appointed Division Director of Commercial Bank Supervision – Springfield. He is responsible for the supervision, regulation, and examination of state-chartered banks operating in the 96 counties outside the Chicago metropolitan area.
Mr. Edwards graduated from Lincoln Land Community College, Springfield, Illinois and Western Illinois University, Macomb, Illinois where he earned an Associates of Science degree in Business Administration and a Bachelors of Business degree in Finance, respectively. Mr. Edwards has also successfully completed the core curriculum commercial examiner schools sponsored by the Conference of State Bank Supervisors and has attended various federally sponsored banking related seminars. Mr. Edwards received his Certified Public Accountant Certification on August 15, 1997, upon passing the May, 1997 CPA examination on his first attempt. |
