VERA L. PARKES

District Supervisor, Bank and Thrift Supervision - Chicago

Vera L. Parkes received her Bachelor's Degree from DePaul University, Chicago, Illinois. She also graduated from the Graduate School of Banking at Colorado, Boulder, Colorado.

Ms. Parkes has been with the Agency since 1982. After serving as a Field Examiner, in the Chicago area, Ms. Parkes became a District Supervisor. As District Supervisor she is primarily responsible for the review and follow-up of reports of examination, determination of compliance to supervisory actions and analysis and review of regulatory functions. These regulatory functions include the safety and soundness review for the issuance of new charters, mergers, changes in ownership, charter amendments, branches and subsidiaries for state-chartered banks.
