As you are aware, the Illinois Department of Insurance requires companies who write medical malpractice insurance in Illinois to file claim information with the Department pursuant to Section 155.19 of the Insurance Code [215 ILCS 5/155.19] and Part 928 (50 Ill. Adm. Code 928). Effective January 1, 2001, companies will be required to comply with recently adopted revisions to Part 928.

A full copy of the amended rule and a request form for the diskette, which contains the claim reports for the Illinois Medical Liability Insurance Uniform Claims Report filings, will be available on our web site at http://www.ins.state.il.us/ under the heading of Company Information, on January 1, 2001.
