Insurance License Revoked

SPRINGFIELD, IL. -- Illinois Director of Insurance J. Anthony Clark has revoked the insurance producer license of Laura L. Grantland-Sawka of Mokena, Illinois, effective December 2, 2003. Ms. Grantland-Sawka had been licensed since September 19, 1985.

Ms. Grantland-Sawka was licensed to sell fire and casualty and life, accident and health insurance. The license of Ms. Grantland-Sawka was revoked by Director's Order from Hearing #4048. The hearing was held regarding the Department's Order of Revocation dated February 27, 2003. The Order of Revocation was issued as a result of an examination revealing the improper withholding of fiduciary monies, using one consumer's premium to pay another consumer's premium, and PFTA record keeping violations.

Under the Illinois Administrative Review Law, she may have the right to appeal and request a stay of the Order. A copy of the Director's Order is attached.
