Insurance License Revoked

SPRINGFIELD, IL. -- Illinois Director of Insurance J. Anthony Clark has revoked the insurance producer license of Michael D. Wood of O'Fallon effective January 26, 2004. Mr. Wood had been licensed since January 14, 2003.

Mr. Wood was licensed to sell life, accident and health insurance. The license of Mr. Wood was revoked by Director's Order from Hearing #4110. The hearing was held regarding the Department's Order of Revocation dated September 12, 2003. The Order of Revocation was issued as a result of an investigation that revealed Mr. Wood had three felony convictions and had violated an insurance law of another state's Insurance Commissioner.

Under the Illinois Administrative Review Law he may have the right to appeal and request a stay of the Order. Copies of the Director's Orders are attached.
