Insurance License Revoked

SPRINGFIELD, IL. -- Illinois Department of Insurance has revoked the insurance producer license of Lemuel Williams of Chicago, Illinois effective February 15, 2004. Mr. Williams had been licensed since April 04, 1995.

Mr. Williams was licensed to sell life, accident, health, fire and casualty. The licenses were revoked as a result of an investigation, which revealed that the Licensee improperly withheld premiums in the amount of $4,213.00 due an insurer and he failed to facilitate and aid the Director in the examination.

Under the Illinois Administrative Review Law he may have the right to appeal and request a stay of the Order. A copy of the Director's Order is attached.
