Insurance License Application Denied

SPRINGFIELD, IL. -- Illinois Department of Insurance has denied the insurance producer license application of Luther a. Hanson of Charleston, West Virginia effective May 6, 2004.

Mr. Hanson was applying for a license to sell life, accident and health insurance. His license application was denied as a result of an investigation, which revealed that the Applicant was previously suspended by the NASD, ordered to pay consumers $79,105.62 in restitution no later than June 30, 2001, and ordered to pay $1,634.75 in hearing costs. The Applicant was also held jointly liable for a $1,171,539.00 judgment. The Applicant has not complied with any of the above orders or judgment.

Under the Illinois Administrative Review Law she may have the right to appeal and request a stay of the Order. A copy of the Director's Order is attached.
