Insurance License Revoked

SPRINGFIELD, IL. -- Illinois Acting Director of Insurance Deirdre K. Manna has revoked the insurance producer license of Michael J. Murphy of Lockport, Illinois effective May 19, 2004. Mr. Murphy had been licensed since March 8, 1982.

Mr. Murphy was licensed to sell life, accident and health. His license was revoked as a result of an investigation, which revealed a felony conviction of 14 counts of Mail Fraud in 2003.

Under the Illinois Administrative Review Law he may have the right to appeal and request a stay of the Order. A copy of the Director's Order is attached.
