SPRINGFIELD, IL. -- Illinois Director of Insurance Michael T. McRaith has revoked the insurance producer license of Richard Eugene Lutes of Tiskilwa effective July 19, 2005. Mr. Lutes had been licensed since June 1, 1973.

Mr. Lutes was licensed to sell life, accident and health insurance. Mr. Lutes license was revoked by Director’s Order from Hearing #05-HR-0413. The hearing was held regarding the Department’s Order of Revocation dated March 31, 2005. The Order of Revocation was issued as a result of an investigation revealing Mr. Lutes had been convicted of a felony of Aggravated Battery in 2004, and had failed to report the felony conviction to the Director within 30 days as required by statute.

Under the Illinois Administrative Review Law he may have the right to appeal and request a stay of the Order. A copy of the Director’s Order, the Findings of Fact, Conclusions of Law and Recommendations of the Hearing Officer, and the original Order of Revocation are attached.
