SPRINGFIELD, IL. -- Illinois Director of Insurance Michael T. McRaith has revoked the insurance producer license of Thomas R. Wendt of Harvard effective September 16, 2005. Mr. Wendt had been licensed since at least April 2, 1987.

Mr. Wendt was licensed to sell fire, casualty, life, accident, health and variable insurance. Mr. Wendt’s license was revoked by Director’s Order from Hearing #05-HR-0237. The hearing was held regarding the Department’s Order of Revocation dated January 19, 2005. The Order of Revocation was issued as a result of an investigation revealing that Mr. Wendt had provided fraudulent identification cards and declaration pages to insureds, improperly withheld fiduciary monies, and failed to facilitate and aid the Director in the investigation.

Under the Illinois Administrative Review Law he may have the right to appeal and request a stay of the Order. A copy of the Director’s Order is attached.
