INTERSTATE INSURANCE RECEIVERSHIP COMMISSION SETS FIRST ANNUAL MEETING

CHICAGO, IL -- Illinois Insurance Director Mark Boozell announced today that the Interstate Insurance Receivership Commission will conduct its first annual meeting on February 8, 1996, in Chicago. The Commission was established pursuant to the Interstate Insurance Receivership Compact enacted by Illinois, California, Nebraska and New Hampshire.

The organizational meeting will focus on establishing interim procedures and electing provisional officers, creating and adopting a budget, bylaws and operating procedures, and addressing volunteer assistance, assessment and financial concerns. The meeting will begin at 9 a.m. at the Old State of Illinois Building, 160 North LaSalle Street, Conference Room C-500, 5th floor. All sessions will be open to the public.
