Springfield, IL Help with insurance problems is now available on the Internet through an electronic complaint form introduced today by Illinois Director of Insurance Mark Boozell. Consumers can also print the form and submit their complaints to the Department of Insurance by U.S. mail or fax.
"Since introducing our home page last May, we have been working diligently to make it easier for Illinois consumers to access useful insurance information and to communicate with the Department of Insurance," Boozell said. "The on-line complaint form is a major step towards that goal. It allows consumers to transmit the basic information we need to open an investigation on their behalf."
Boozell said that in addition to filing a complaint, consumers can also e-mail him from the Department's home page with general insurance questions or comments.
