SPRINGFIELD, IL. -- Illinois Director of Insurance Michael T. McRaith has denied the insurance producer license application of Chris M. Cordes of Genoa effective May 11, 2005. Mr. Cordes had never been licensed with the Division of Insurance.

Mr. Cordes' license application was denied as a result of an investigation that revealed he knowingly submitted a fraudulent copy of an insurance producer license to the business entity that employed him indicating he was licensed.

Under the Illinois Administrative Review Law, Mr. Cordes may have the right to appeal and request a stay of the Order.
