New License Report by Division of Professional Regulation Now Available Online

Report to List Professional Licenses Issued Each Month

CHICAGO, IL – The Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) announced today that the agency will begin providing a list of new Illinois professional licenses issued every month.  This is consistent with Governor Pat Quinn’s efforts to both boost transparency and encourage small business growth in Illinois.

“This report will help residents throughout Illinois learn about the wide variety of licensed professionals who live and work in their communities,” said Jay Stewart, Director, Division of Professional Regulation.  “Licensed professionals in Illinois must meet the highest standards and I commend these individuals for their hard work and wish them success as they get to work and drive our economy forward.”

Many of the more than one million licensed professionals in Illinois are self-employed or work in small professional corporations. IDFPR recognizes the importance of ensuring that people who want to work as professionals in Illinois receive their licenses promptly and that every new professional meets the minimum guidelines required for the safe practice of that profession.

The first report, published today at IDFPR.com, lists all new licenses granted between April 15 and May 14, 2013.  Information about the types of licenses issued by the Division is available; click here to learn more about the professions and licensing requirements.

Editor Note:  IDFPR began issuing this report on May 15, 2013.  If you would prefer to have a .pdf copy of the report e-mailed to you, please forward the appropriate e-mail address to Susan Hofer at Susan.Hofer@Illinois.gov.
