Regulators Reach Out to Professional and Business Associations
Small Business Tax Credits Available for Newly Hired Staff
CHICAGO– To help the professionals and businesses regulated by the State of Illinois, the Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) has sent a copy of a letter from Governor Quinn to dozens of professional associations with members in Illinois asking them to provide their members with information about Illinois Small Business Job Creation Tax Credit.
The tax credit provides up to $2500 in tax credits to small businesses of 50 employees or fewer for every new employee hired before June 30, 2011, as long as the employee earns at least $10 per hour. Most Illinois professionals and many of the firms operated by those professionals qualify for participation in this program.
