The examination for registration as a landscape architect in Illinois is the Landscape Architect Registration Examination (L.A.R.E.) of the Council of Landscape Architectural Registration Boards (CLARB).

• Pre-approval from the Illinois Landscape Architecture Board is not required to take the L.A.R.E.
