James Jones, Broadview - Case Number: 1995-02187-2 -- 01 21 1997 Discipline: $500 Fine; Reprimand; Education Requirement Violation: Developed and reported an appraisal in violation of the USPAP; and, rendered appraisal service in a careless and negligent manner which resulted in a misleading appraisal report.

Michael Bergen, Crystal Lake - Case Number: 1995-01654 -- 01 21 1997 Discipline: $500 Fine; Reprimand; Education Requirement Violation: Developed and reported an appraisal in violation of the Competency Provision of the USPAP; and rendered appraisal service in a careless and negligent manner which resulted in a misleading appraisal report.

Richard Knitter, Oak Brook - Case Number: 1996-00124 -- 03 05 1997 Discipline: $500 Fine; Reprimand Violation: Made false statements on his application for licensure as an IL Real Estate Appraiser.

Mark Cassidy, Geneva - Case Number: 1996-00064 -- 04 02 1997 Discipline: $1,000 Fine; Reprimand; Education Requirement Violation: Developed and reported an appraisal in violation of the USPAP; and, rendered appraisal service in a careless and negligent manner which resulted in a misleading appraisal report.

Jake F. Caputo, Palos Heights - Case Number: 1996-00082 -- 04 30 1997 Discipline: $1,000 Fine; Surrender of 153 License; Issued 156 License Violation: Failed, as a result of a 154-Exp audit, to provide experience to support licensure as a Certified General Real Estate Appraiser.

Mark Schmitt, Chicago - Case Number: 1997-00010 -- 04 30 1997 Discipline: $1,000 Fine; 24 Month Probation; appraisals during probation period must be reviewed and signed by a 156 or 153 appraiser Violation: Certified completion of rehabilitation work for properties that he had appraised, which rehabilitation work had not been performed.

Robert S. Howard, Eola - Case Number: 1996-00128 -- 08 21 1997 Discipline: $500 Fine; Reprimand; Education Violation: Acted as an advocate for client; and, developed and transmitted a misleading appraisal report.

Andrew Baker, Kenilworth - Case Number: 1995-05320 -- 09 21 1997 Discipline: $750 Fine; Reprimand Violation: Failed to procure written Power of Attorney for Co-appraiser; and failed to retain records in accordance with the USPAP.
