| | The Interior Design Professional Title Act became effective July 6, 1993. Interior design refers to persons |
| | qualified by education, experience and examination who administer contracts for fabrication, procurement |
| | or installation in the implementation of designs, drawings and specifications for any interior design |
| | project. The Board is made up of seven persons appointed by the Secretary, consisting of four registered |
| | interior designers, two registered residential interior designers and one public member. The Board is |
| | charged with reviewing education and experience qualifications and making recommendations to the |
| | Secretary on matters related to professional competence and conduct. |
