SPRINGFIELD, IL - The Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) announced today that the Director of the Division of Insurance, Michael T. McRaith, signed the following disciplinary actions during the month of April 2006. The Division’s orders for each action are available by clicking on each name.

Thomas Hall, Chicago, temporary insurance producer license revoked effective April 7, 2006. Mr. Hall had been licensed since December 8, 2005. Mr. Hall’s license revoked as a result of an investigation, which revealed a felony conviction of 3 counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver in 2001. Additionally, Mr. Hall failed to report the felony convictions on his 2005 temporary license application thereby providing incorrect and materially untrue information in the application and obtaining a license through misrepresentation.

Anthony M. Linder, Joliet, insurance producer license revoked effective March 30, 2006. Mr. Linder had been licensed since August 15, 1996. Mr. Linder was licensed to sell life, accident and health insurance. Mr. Linder’s license was revoked by Director’s Order from Hearing #05-HR-0955. The hearing was held regarding the Department’s Order of Revocation dated October 13, 2005. The Order of Revocation was issued as a result of an investigation revealing Mr. Linder had been convicted of a felony of Aggravated Criminal Sexual Abuse in 2005.

Charles Lindsay, Chicago license denied effective April 17, 2006. Mr. Lindsay’s license was denied by Director’s Order from Hearing #05-HR-1015. The denial was based on a 1995 felony conviction for Armed Robbery. The Director’s Order also required Mr. Lindsay to pay the hearing costs within 35 days of the date of the Order.

Under the Illinois Administrative Review Law each may have the right to appeal the decision and request a stay of the Order.
