Department Suspends License of Angelo Consiglio, MD

 

 

CHICAGO, IL–The Illinois Division of Professional Regulation has suspended the license of physician Angelo Consiglio, M.D. who pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor battery charge on January 26, 2005 in Circuit Court in DuPage County.  The conviction resulted from Dr. Consiglio’s inappropriate touching of a sexual nature of a female patient.  This emergency suspension has been ordered because the Department finds that the continued practice of medicine by Dr. Consiglio constitutes an immediate danger to the public. 

            Dr. Consiglio’s license is suspended pending further proceedings before the Administrative Law Judge at the Department of Financial and Professional Regulation and the Medical Disciplinary Board of the State of Illinois.
