Tax Return Preparation Task Force

The Task Force prepared and issued the Tax Return Preparation Task Force Report on December 1, 2015. The Tax Return Preparation Task Force consisted of 8 members, one appointed by the Department of Financial and Professional Regulation and a representative of the Department; one appointed by the Department of Financial and Professional Regulation and a representative of a statewide association representing CPAs; one appointed by the Department of Financial and Professional Regulation and an enrolled agent or representative of the tax return preparation industry; Director of Revenue or his or her designee; one appointed by the Speaker of the House of Representatives; one appointed by the President of the Senate; one appointed by the Minority Leader of the House of Representatives; and one appointed by the Minority Leader of the Senate. The provision of the Illinois Public Accounting Act creating the Task Force is repealed July 1, 2016.
